Dr Fiona Mitchell became a specialist Paediatrician (Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians) in 2004 and has extensive hands on and referral management of paediatric patients.
Dr Fiona Mitchell graduated from the University of Newcastle in 1994, completed her Diploma of Paediatrics at Sydney Children’s Hospital in 1999 and completed Human Genetics Theory at
Macquarie University in 2002.
Fiona joined NSW Children's Specialists in 2016 after more than 20 years in the NSW public health system, primarily at Sydney Children’s Hospital and The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. For the last 15 years Fiona has (and continues) to be a staff specialist at NETS, NSW Newborn and Paediatric Emergency Transport Service, responsible for all the state’s emergency scenarios when the hospital needs extra support. She now runs NSW Paediatrics.
Dr Mitchell’s special interests lie in respiratory, speech, infants, feeding, growth, early milestones and settling techniques.
Fiona is looking forward to receiving and making a valuable difference to new patients.
